This site is patient education published by Chongqing West District Hospital. It is written to the hospital’s content standards and to the advertising rules governing medical content, which is why it reads differently from a commercial clinic site.
What this site does not do
It names no product, no device and no manufacturer. It quotes no dose and no price. It publishes no before-and-after gallery used as a promise, and it makes no claim that a particular result can be achieved by either operation.
Both operations are described alike
This is a neutral comparison. Neither orthognathic surgery nor jaw contouring is presented as the default, as the more complete treatment or as the answer for most people. Where an operation cannot do something, that limit is stated for both rather than for one, and nerve injury is described in the same terms on each side.
